About Dean Yu

I operate at the intersection of U.S. retail business needs and Asia manufacturing execution. My work focuses on translating merchandising and commercial priorities into reliable supplier action — balancing margin expectations, development timing, and vendor capacity across high-SKU product categories. Rather than treating sourcing as a purchasing function, I manage it as part of the operating engine that supports sell-through and replenishment stability. Over the years I have coordinated daily with overseas suppliers while aligning internal teams across design, sales, and operations. This includes resolving manufacturability constraints early, reallocating production to prevent overload, and improving planning visibility to reduce reactive escalations. In my previous role, the sourcing programs I managed supported approximately $80 million in annual procurement volume, generating about $180 million in retail sales for the company’s private label and licensed brands product lines.I am most effective and flexible in environments where speed to market, product turnover, and operational predictability directly impact business performance.
