About Deana Gill

I am deeply passionate about co-creating experiences that empower people and organizations to dream boldly and achieve meaningful growth and transformation—personally, professionally, and collectively. My career began with 14 foundational years in a government family and child services organization, where I worked from frontline to leadership roles across child protection, youth mental health, education, and leadership development. Seeking to expand my business acumen and strategic leadership skills, I embarked on what I call my “MBA in situ”—a tour of duty in Organizational Development and Leadership roles with PwC, Ritchie Bros, and PHSA. These experiences ultimately inspired me to found Dream Master Advisory, a boutique OD/HR consultancy serving primarily Indigenous and human service organizations in their growth and transformation journeys. At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. I am driven to help shift patterns, strengthen relationships, build bridges, and inspire hope for Indigenous children and youth—who remain among the most vulnerable and underrepresented in our society due to the impacts of colonization and genocide. Acting on this purpose, I co-founded the Hope and Health For Life Society alongside my husband and dear friend William Yoachim, supported by a community of dedicated changemakers. Together, we harness the power of sport as a vehicle for social impact, leadership, and healing. This journey has taken me from start-up non-profit founder to CEO of a charitable organization with sustainable growth, strategic partnerships, and transformative impact at its core. Since October 2019, I have led Hope and Health full time as CEO, applying my experience and passion to advancing our mission.
