About Deana Gray

After a wonderful 16 year career in the Property Management field, I made the brave choice of making a career change into the evergrowing Medical field. In 2015, I attended the College of Health Care Professions for the Medical Coding & Billing/Health Information Management program from which I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and Valedictorian honors. I was hired directly from my externship at Greater Austin Surgical Assistants where I remained for a year as a Medical Billing Specialist/Surgery Scheduler. In April 2016, I accomplished my goal of passing the CPC exam and by January 2017 I had my Apprentice status removed. In November 2016, I accepted a position at Texas Orthopedics as a PT Data Entry/Charge Capture Specialist. Most recently, I was promoted to Surgery Coder and can not wait to take on all that this new position offers. I take pride in knowing that my key attributes of being a fast learner, hard working, organized and detailed have helped my past and present employers be successful. I am looking forward to my continual growth and the great opportunities that lie ahead! On the flip side, I am just a girl with a kind heart, fierce mind, brave spirit, creativity galore, who loves to laugh and make others laugh!
