About Deanna Hebbler

I have worked in the middle school setting for over 20 years and have relocated with my family from Florida to Saskatchewan, Canada. I started as a special education teacher, worked in a co-teach setting (inclusion setting), became a Dean of Students and for the past 5 1/2 years I have had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Principal in two different Title I schools (low income). In these roles I have had the opportunity to implement systematic change, develop and build school culture, increase student success by taking the students where they are and helping them grow academically, socially and emotionally. I have created the master schedule for over 1300 students, organized and implemented the special education instruction for students, lead and mentored teachers and future leaders in the educational field and ensured the safety and security of all students and staff during a very unknown time. By working collaboratively with my team, we have strengthened the PLC (professional learning community) process and the MTSS (multi-tiered system of supports) process to meet each student where they are and helping them grow and succeed. I am skilled at working with all stakeholders, classroom management, teacher mentoring and training, school culture development, leadership and staff development, PBIS implementation and using restorative practice and making data driven decisions. I am passionate about working collaboratively, guiding and developing by using other's strengths to move any organization forward and thrive in a high pressure environment that is ever changing.
