About Deanna Muniz
My goals in life include obtaining a job as an academic advisor at a community college or university and work my way up to become a dean, vice president, or president of a college. Right now I'm working on my doctorate in higher education. I'm passionate about student success and want to lead with student service because I believe college students can change the future. I currently work as a Grant Coordinator for Career and Leadership Development that supports Hispanic students and students receiving Pell. I'm responsible for creating and facilitating workshops for students, faculty, and staff, teaching UCC 101 every Fall semester, and organizing a Teaching Excellence Network (TEN), and an alumni network. To me, it's important to guide students towards success and help them realize they can accomplish what they put their minds to. In the past, I interned with athletics as an advisor where I worked closely with student athletes determining player eligibility, and created an Athlete Satisfaction Survey.
