Deanna manages the healthcare professional (HCP) financial compliance and audit process at BCD Meetings & Events on behalf of their Life Sciences client, Daiichi Sankyo (DSI). Adhering to strict deadlines and regulatory requirements as directed by the Sunshine Act, Deanna ensures that DSI's HCP meeting financials are reconciled and backup documents are audited before all transfers of value (TOV) are reported to the federal government.In rigorous collaboration with her post-program colleagues and leadership, she has helped develop the event planning post-program procedure and streamline the overall audit process. Deanna has also provided lateral leadership to the planning team through extensive one-on-one and guided group compliance training.Notably in 2023 Deanna took the opportunity to step outside her role to assist the planning team on-site for high-volume international congresses ASCO and ESMO to better facilitate post-program reconciliation. Through this action she became a key-player in the development of BCD/DSI's unique and detail intensive congress post-program procedure. Deanna provided necessary, role-specific insights that led to the optimization of a congress master expense breakdown template that will help the planning and finance team collaborate much more efficiently and accurately in their completion of post-program reconciliation and audit.Before coming to BCD, for over 15 years Deanna developed her diverse skillset as a finance professional through a variety of roles in banking and property management, including but not limited to mortgage servicing in all stages of delinquency, fraud detection for debit card, accounts payable processing and single-family rent collection and evictions.
