Hello and welcome to my LinkedIn profile! I'm De'Asia Clark (pronounced Dee-Asia), and I'm grateful for your time in checking out my page. My professional journey began when I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor's of Science and a concentration in Cellular Molecular Biology. Although I enjoyed biology, I developed a deep passion for the outdoors, which led me to an internship with the Student Conservation Association as a Community Outreach Intern at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge. In this position, I honed my skills in outreach and community building, and discovered the importance of fostering strong relationships with the people and organizations around me. During my internship, I helped establish The Nature Club at Highland Park Boys & Girls Club, which allowed me to help children from an economically disadvantaged community with limited access to nature create a strong relationship with the outdoors. I guided them to build a relationship with the environment and understand the importance of spending time in nature. Currently, as a Customer Success Manager at Yelp, I focus on client retention and helping businesses of all sizes achieve their goals through our platform. I'm proud to have been part of the team that created and piloted this approach, which we eventually expanded to the entire department floor due to its success. Aside from my job duties, I've also contributed to building a positive culture at Yelp. As lead of our Pursuit Content Team, I highlight the achievements of different employees within our department to motivate and recognize their hard work. This has helped create a culture of positivity, motivation, and recognition within our department. This led me to win the Culture Champion Award in ‘22, by helping to create Yelpmates, an internal system that allows employees to meet someone new within the company on a monthly basis, to help foster connections within a completely distributed workforce. I'm also a mentor within our Rep Development Program. I'm able to help other reps achieve their professional goals by building a strong connection with them and outlining the steps to take to develop the skills they need to succeed. I have a strong passion for building genuine relationships with those around me, and I strive to make that a focus in every interaction I have.
