Background
About Deb Jordan
Deb Jordan has been in nonprofit management for more than 25 years. She is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University where she received her degree in Public Relations. Deb's career began at the Milken Family Foundation researching nonprofit grant requests. She joined the Foundation's education division and traveled from state to state organizing recognition banquets for top educators receiving grants. She joined the Milken Institute – an economic think tank headed by Michael Milken. She was the producer of the Milken Institute Global Conference, the largest economic conference on the west coast. As her responsibilities grew, she became the Director of External Affairs to build relationships with economic organizations, universities, sponsors, and community groups. As the Executive Director of the Asia Society Southern California, she was exposed to business and civic leaders across Asia. As a membership organization, Asia Society grew from 200 members to members – each focused on US-Asia relations and dedicated to promoting mutual understanding. In her role as Executive Director of the USC's Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation, Deb increased fundraising from to $1.5 million in under a year. She had the opportunity to strengthen the hospital’s Women’s Council, while at the same time became a member of the Community Advisory Board and spearheaded the community benefit program. Deb received the 2015 Woman Achiever award from Business Life magazine for her work as a nonprofit leader. In 2015 she relocated to Salt Lake City, UT. Deb joined the Arthritis Foundation and now heads the fundraising efforts and mission programs for Utah, Idaho and Montana.
