Hi there, I am Debayan & I am an experienced young professional having cleared CFA Level 1. Motivated to learn, grow, and excel in the financial industry, I am proficient with financial valuations, financial models, equity research, fixed income, corporate finance, derivatives, portfolio management & presentation decks. I have realized the aspects of my work that I find most rewarding are majorly in following finance-based functions- Business Valuations: I had worked on projects related to business intangible valuations like tradename assets, customer relationships, developed technology, etc. as per ASC 805 as well as goodwill impairment testing as per ASC 350- Financial Data Analysis: I had worked on automation projects which involved analyzing data from the Bloomberg database & building a financial model based on analyst estimates data. I had also devised & engineered factors to build investing screeners for back-testing & investment portfolio analysis- Equity Research Initiating Coverage: I am familiar with analyzing company data, fetching industry reports & building financial spreadsheets to investigate an investment opportunity. On an industry level, I designed & orchestrated presentation decks to identify existing sectoral monopolies and duopolies in the Indian & US economy. It considered taking all Indian & US-listed company financials as input to articulate how 40+ industry's market shares are structured- Proficient in Microsoft MS Office: I have been using tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, spreadsheets, screeners, etc. to analyze a broad range of companies & also published blogs on the same. I'm based out of Kolkata & currently seeking opportunities in investment banking & equity valuation roles.
