About Debbie Adare

I am a high-performance, values-driven manager, recognized for a proven history of relationship building, team building, communications, budgeting, and strategic planning. My strengths and personal satisfaction are most evident when I am developing programs and projects, improving systems, and nurturing relationships. Creating and/or improving projects, programs, initiatives, and departments has been a throughline of my career. I consider myself a creative builder in these cases, engaging key partners to ensure meaningful and successful achievement of goals. Examples include improving fundraising campaigns, creating a Customer and Community Relations program, and helping to launch and grow an Advancement department. I look for efficiencies and context in all that I do. I am curious - about people and what is important to them and about how systems work - and I love digging into a problem to find possible solutions. I have been fortunate to work with exceptional leaders who encouraged and trusted me to create environments where relationships can thrive. In addition to developing successful teams, I have years of experience in stewardship and donor relations related to generous supporters of not-for-profit organizations, as well as customer and community relations in the for-profit sector. Planning and executing high-touch events that honour, celebrate, inform, engage, surprise, and delight those same communities of patrons has been a joy and a privilege.
