I have been trading as Despina Design since 2001 - although most know me as Debbie- and with my team we have focused on providing interior design services to residents in the Perth metro and some overseas projects. My bespoke designs have received international acclaim and popularity. My perspective when designing a space goes beyond choosing a "safe" color scheme or assisting in the selection of furniture from the local furniture supplier. Realistically interior design is the art of translating the client's personality and aspirations into an interior which does them justice and contribute to their quality of life! This Involves creating the exact piece which aesthetically and functionally enhances the particular space and also the lifestyle of the occupant. By this approach I have enriched my craft and some of my best work, which has been awarded, was the result of adhering as close as possible and delivering some of the most challenging briefs. A "yes can be done" attitude and good listening skills are vitally important in delivering what my clients want and many have expressed their appreciation for the fact I listen and discern. One of my favorite parts of the service I provide is solving a spatial dilemma in a client's home, within the first few minutes of consultation. As I visualize the possibilities I communicate to the client ways of turning their "dilemma", into a creative design opportunity!
