I have over four years of experience in this role, and I enjoy helping writers craft clear, engaging, and accurate content for diverse audiences and platforms. Before becoming a copy editor, I was a director of communications at a church and a freelance newspaper reporter and editor. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism from Bowling Green State University and a Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing from Poynter Institute. I have a passion for community journalism and storytelling, and I have won multiple awards for my investigative and enterprise reporting. I am proficient in editorial, web content, and new media skills, and I am always eager to learn new tools and techniques to enhance my work.
