Over 40 years experience as a Registered Nurse. I have over 17 years experience in Long Term Care working as a RN Charge Nurse, Director of Resident Care and Administrator. Another 15 years at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care in positions of Psychogeriatric outreach, Nurse Educator and Psychogeriatric Resource Consultant (PRC). Combining my love of geriatrics with mental health provided me with a wealth of knowledge, with an opportunity to develop a Seniors Mental Health Curriculum which is being piloted provincially in late 2021 and early 2022! So excited with this program. April 2022-April 2024 Education Coordinator for Community Paramedicine with the County of Simcoe! An amazing program and people! Keeping seniors at home with advanced COPD, CHF and Diabetes! So rewarding.
