About Debbie Manning

After graduating in 2014 with a first class masters degree in Mathematics I started work at Deloitte LLP in the Strategy, Risk and Compliance department, completing the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) ACA qualification in 2017. At Deloitte I developed my knowledge and understanding of accounting requirements and commercial decision making through the delivery of internal audits in financial and operational areas, as well as controls advisory and IT support work. More recently I have worked in the retail sector for Superdry Plc as their Internal Audit Manager where I have undertaken numerous financial, operational and strategic audits. I act as a business partner supporting all areas of the business in implementing process improvements and have become an advisor to the business for all risk, control and compliance queries. I am a member of the risk committee, which meets monthly, where I provide challenge to risk management activities and add value by instigating ad hoc audit reviews. I also attend the quarterly audit committee meetings where I present audit reports, provide an update on the status of the audit plan and report on the follow up of audit actions.
