Started working at BEI in 1979 while still in high school. I was the assistant to Mr. Brammer's secretary; she taught me how to prepare royalty distributions, change interest ownerships, how to prepare and circulate morning reports, filing, and how to compose and type business correspondence. I later became the receptionist, and from there was promoted to the regulatory department where I completed and filed monthly production reports for the State of Louisiana and Railroad Commission of Texas. After doing that job for several years, I was offered the position as secretary to Keith Evans and I have been here ever since!
