Patent Attorney & IP management consultant with corporate and private practice experience in Australia and the UK since 1983. Extensive experience in assisting clients with protecting and managing their IP portfolios, carrying out audits and implementing processes to more effectively manage their IP. Currently working as Patent Attorney with Cambridge Mechatronics. A pragmatic and business-focussed approach to IP management and protection. Experience of assisting professional services firms, professional bodies and corporations in the development, implementation and delivery of IP professional education and training programmes; business development support; and creation of bespoke marketing materials and resources. Experience with drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications in physics, electronics, computer-related inventions and AI. Experience as a teacher of mathematics and science with a postgraduate qualification in Secondary Education. A member of CIPA Council with a focus on the education and training. Chair of the CIPA Education Committee. Co-editor of the 2nd edition of the CIPA Patent Training Manual and involved in the development and delivery of the CIPA Introductory and Advanced Patent Paralegal Courses. Experienced consumer representative in maternity services at both Federal and State levels in the UK and Australia.
