About Debi Hebert

Dynamic Nurse Leader with extensive experience in a variety of roles, including a clinical background in both surgical and critical care nursing (SICU/PICU). As the Director of Medicine and Oncology, I am responsible for the fiscal, operational, clinical and administrative leadership for inpatient medicine and oncology. In my role as director, I am accountable for creating a high-performance culture, coaching, mentoring and developing others, as well as demonstrating a commitment to care and service. I provide strategic and operational direction for evidence-based practice, workforce planning and patient care. I work directly with the leadership teams for five of our inpatient units. Additionally, I work in partnership with UVMMC stakeholders as a nurse leader on the Nursing Professional Governance Practice Council, with a goal of advancing our strategic priorities for nursing as well as the organization.
