About Debojit Dutta

A human brain is a crazy place and there are two things that fascinate me most about product and growth. First: the concept of consumer logic and how rational yet irrational it can be. Secondly: the challenge of communicating in a way that persuade consumers which very often requires optimization. Hence you're constantly optimizing for something that is both rational and irrational. I apply the same thinking in product sales & marketing that is also applicable in leadership because whether you are connecting with consumers or within the team you're connecting with the fun irrationality of their logic—in order to bring ideas together influence an outcome and also optimize and scale for future growth. Apart from the above my notable achievements are :  Played a pivotal role in increasing the business volume of Rs. 85 crores per annum with a team size of 16 team members with Jaquar & Co. Ltd.  Award of Best Manager in 2007 with Berger Paints and 2011 with Jaquar Ltd.  Honoured with Destination Award twice to Europe & Australia by becoming a participant in Achievers Club & Apollo Award of Excellence for the achievement of highest sales growth in 2003-2004 with Apollo Tyres Ltd.  Awarded best Division Award from Berger Paints in bringing maximum silver club dealers to qualify in trip schemes.  Successfully cracked single order for 6 Crores from Assam Education Department for Mangalam Timber Products Ltd.  Cracked major breakthrough in Holiday Inn Hotel ITC Hotel Shristhi Siddha Group Ambuja Group Salarpuria Group Orbit Group Begraj Group & Jain Group banks PSU’s and other reputed hospitality and healthcare majors pan India through managing specifications followed by an order for speciality and value-added products. The total business generated for MAYUR PLYWOOD 15-16—30 crores. I also consider myself a “flavour ambassador” of continental food and can sometimes be spotted in a continental restaurant on a beautiful moonlight night for a dinner with family.
