About Debora Alcide

I have been a successful watercolour artist for the past 20 years, with paintings hanging in more than 450 homes and businesses in Toronto and France. I specialize in realistic architectural renderings of interior and exterior locations, but landscapes, flowers and abstracts are also common subjects. I enjoy commissions from real estate agents and businesses, to create stunningly accurate watercolours of their clients properties. I occasionally participate in watercolour demos and workshops. I am currently a contract professor at Humber College. I hope to inspire young designers with my love of drawing and rendering. I was an in-house design consultant with the trendy, small spaces experts at Urban Mode, where I got to practice my decorating and design skills, turning small urban condos into functional and beautiful gems. I received a BA and MA in art history from York University in Toronto. Many years of working in the public as an Air Canada flight attendant, have honed my interpersonal skills and I enjoy meeting and interacting with everyone. I was a feature artist in the LeftSide Gallery and I co-hosted a sold-out Watercolour Exhibition"​ Autumn Interlude"​ with Shirley Scobles in Toronto. After roaming the globe for over 37 years, I have amassed an incredible number of stock photographs, specializing in architecture and medieval subject matter. I also enjoy photographing interiors for commercial purposes. My husband Pierre and I are presently renovating our 300 year old home in France, with the hope of someday turning it into a gallery and teaching venue, if I ever retire.
