About Debora Camilo
I am Debora Camilo, an environmental engineer graduated from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), and since 2020 I have been working on building ESG solutions for Brazilian agriculture. These solutions are focused on carbon lifecycle analysis (LCA) in agricultural systems, the development of MRV (Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification) systems, and socio-environmental traceability of supply chains. I have robust experience with footprint calculators such as the Cool Farm Tool, GHG Protocol, Footprint Pro Carbon (FPC - co-developed with Embrapa), and PUMA. Believing that the decarbonization of the economy requires a strong technical and scientific foundation combined with the creation of innovative products to drive this transition, I am currently part of the global team of experts at the S&P Global Commodity Insights Center of Excellence in Emissions. In this role, I contribute to harmonizing the calculation of carbon intensities in agricultural commodity production chains, identifying decarbonization opportunities, and developing new products.
