About Debora Irene C.

I am Project Manager for Data Policy and Governance at Tifa Foundation, an Indonesia-based non-profit organization with a vision to promote an open society in the country by strengthening civil society. I am responsible for the overall management of projects, research, and advocacy for personal data protection, digital platform accountability, and digital security. On the side, I am conducting a study on legitimacy in Internet governance with the University of Gothenburg. Previously, I worked as a researcher at the United Nations Institute for Computing and Society and the Web Foundation's Open Data Lab, focusing on the data divide and the digital divide, the cybersecurity of civil society organizations, open government, and open data. My research interests lie at the intersection of media, communication, digital technology, and development. I hold a BSocSc from the University of Indonesia, and an MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science, both in media and communication studies.
