Background

About Debora Rabbitt

Years ago I began my professional career as a secretary with Grumman Aerospace. Within a short amount of time my career advanced to the level of Administrative Assistant to the Program Director, where my responsibilities became more focused on customer support, verbal and oral communications and purchasing procedures. As an Administrative professional, I moved to a prestigious scientific publisher and became the Executive Assistant to the Director of Information Technology. In this position I further honed my customer satisfaction skills working with Member Societies, planning both on-site and off-site meetings, preparing all forms of correspondence and department documentation. After raising three children, while being active in my local PTA and Girl Scout leadership, I took on the role of Office Manager for Alpha Yachts, handling payroll for 16 employees, company invoicing, purchase orders, accounts receivable and payable, correspondence, and website maintenance via Wordpress and basic HTML. In addition to my varied office skills and proficiency with the Office Suite, I am also a published fiction author. I maintain my own website, navigate all current forms of social media to build and maintain the integrity of my author brand, and plan marketing campaigns for my product. As a workshop leader and speaker in the community I also share my knowledge with others. I am a member of RWA, LIRW and Hearts Through History. Owner and founder of the Passionate Critters critique group and social media chair for HTH. Most recently, building on my desire to continually improve, I have become a certified life coach focusing on goal success.
