In 2020 she completed the comprehensive Clinical Pastoral Education training (CPE) with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care – the governing body responsible for training and certifying chaplains across Canada. Additionally, informing her chaplaincy with certification from the Institute of Traditional Medicine in end-of-life matters. Deborah is from the Christian tradition and engages a spirit of ecumenism and inclusivity in her work providing a safe space for individuals seeking to integrate faith in their healing journey. Rev. Deborah has provided clinical counselling for individuals struggling with unaddressed root issues of childhood trauma leading to emotional and behavioural patterns perpetrating disruption in their relationships, vocation, and spiritual well-being. Uncovering the root issues of trauma allows healing potential and motivation to thrive in life. The struggle with stress & anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, OCD, eating disorders, complex grief, PTSD, and relationship dysfunction, are treatable from a holistic approach to psychological and pastoral care.
