About Deborah Beane

I have been with Partnership HealthPlan of California for a little over 5 years. In December of 2019 I left my position as an Administrative Assistant to the Pharmacy Department and joined the Utilization Management (UM) department as a program coordinator, assisting the department Associate Director with our five delegate hospitals. My responsibilities now include conducting file review audits, specifically relating to NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) accreditation, generating reports and acting as liaison between our delegate's senior staff and the office of the UM Senior Director. Being that I had no medical experience in my career history, I have found this position to be pleasantly challenging and educational. The team I support are wonderful, intelligent people who take a lot of pride in knowing that we come to work everyday to help make someone's difficult life a little bit easier. Aside from my work career I have published two novels,'Potholes and Rainwater' and most recently,'A Jar of Sea Glass'. Writing a book had been at the top of my proverbial bucket list. The first book was fun to write; a labor of love. Because I was so satisfied with its outcome, I thought I'd write another.'Sea Glass' was more of a challenge, but an accomplishment that I'm proud of.
