About Deborah Berg

As a Gen Xer who grew up in an analog world, the dawn of the digital age came at a time in my life when I wasn’t sure about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I was a young adult working for an educational publishing company as an editor. And although I was making use of my college degree, I was content but not excited. Then in early 1994, three things were introduced to me that changed everything and set me on a path that I enjoy to this day, 31 years later: 1. A program called Adobe Photoshop 2. A program called Corel Draw 3. A flatbed scanner What did I do with these three items? • I taught myself how to scan, create and color correct images for digital media • I taught myself how to code and design websites • I taught and inspired others throughout North America how to use industry-standard tools to design websites Specialties: Technical instruction, Web design and development, Adobe Photoshop, WordPress, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, Microsoft Office, social media marketing, Google Analytics, Adobe Certified Associate Photoshop, Adobe Certified Associate Dreamweaver. I currently share my experience as a Web designer, a technical writer, and a corporate trainer to teach and inspire others in the Web Development program at Atlantic Technical College.
