About Deborah Culhane

With a passion for property, business, food, wine, and all things in the great outdoors, I have worked as a lawyer and business consultant for over 15 years supporting businesses in the hospitality, leisure, events and attractions industries. I was In-House Counsel for Village Roadshow Limited, a major Australian listed corporation active in the tourism, entertainment, and attractions industry, practising both domestic and private international commercial law. I love using my inhouse corporate law experience to help tourism based businesses and seeing the impact these have on transforming regional communities. Recently, I’ve been enjoying helping city folk make their "tree-change" and assisting them to purchase their dream home in our wonderful region and build a new lifestyle. Our region has many opportunities for those who want a change of lifestyle, from olive groves, wineries, B&B's and small rural estates. Community involvement is important to me and I contribute to my community as a lawyer, amateur violist, supporting women entrepreneurs through Global Sisters, and by serving on the boards of Business Wodonga, Corryong Health and Metavision Institute Pty Ltd. I love sailing and am a big supporter of Women and Girls in Sailing. I participated in the 2013 Sydney to Hobart yacht race - what a wild ride it was!
