About Deborah Falcon

I'm a graphic designer and passionate marketer, born and raised in Manila, Philippines. I've spent 5 happy years in the Metro Vancouver area of Canada, but I've now returned to my roots in the Philippines. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts (BFA), majoring in Information Design from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines, where my senior thesis was nominated for the Ateneo Socio-Civic Engagement for National Development (ASCEND) Award. I also hold a diploma in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Vancouver (now known as LaSalle College Vancouver), where I was a consistent honour student while working part time at the school's library. I have also worked alongside and assisted school administration in several occasions when they needed help. My stay at the Art Institute culminated with the Fall 2015 portfolio show, where I was awarded Best of Show for the Graphic Design diploma program. I have substantial experience working as a graphic designer and marketing specialist for several different industries, namely manufacturing, event planning, consumer packaged goods, organic supplements, and fitness. I am confident with using standard industry technology like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Lightroom. I have experience working with HTML and CSS, Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects, but I am always striving to learn new methods, as well as learning how to use new programs. In my most recent role, my responsibilities included graphic design for both digital and print, social media management, digital and traditional marketing, copywriting, event planning, budget management, brand management, reaching out to vendors and suppliers, to name a few. On the side, I love getting my hands dirty with all things creative from photography, videography, hand lettering, craft projects, redoing furniture/taking on home renovation projects, etc.
