I have worked for ten years in the food justice world with experiences ranging from a farm apprenticeship at Hawthorne Valley Farm to being an Americorp Volunteer with Just Food starting a CSA in the Bronx. In 2006 I received a certificate in Ecological Horticulture and Sustainable Food Systems from the Center For Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems (CASFS) at UC Santa Cruz. I have been working as an "extension agent" supporting gardeners with East New York Farms! for the past 5 years and am now the Agriculture Director with responsibilities including managing our 1/2 acre youth run urban farm. I also currently co-collaborate on a budding floral design company (Molly Oliver Flowers). We focus on providing lovely, local and sustainably grown flowers to people looking for a unique addition to their special event.
