About Deborah Knight

Professionalism and versatility is at the heart of my career as a journalist, with more than 30 years experience across Television, Radio and Online. I have hosted national news and current affairs and lifestyle and business programs, and reported on some of the biggest stories from across Australia and the world to millions of viewers and listeners on commercial radio, television and the ABC. I have interviewed Prime Ministers and Premiers, CEO's and business leaders and inspirational and everyday people. I love telling stories and have honed the ability to get to the nub of complex issues quickly, in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. I work well in a team and pride myself on encouraging success in colleagues. I actively mentor up and upcoming journalists and broadcasters. My communication skills and media experience make me an demand MC for corporate events and charities, and I have successfully provided media training for business leaders. I'm also a Brand Ambassador with a strong social media following. I actively use my public profile to make a positive difference in the community with social issues that are close to my heart. I've been an Ambassador and Board Member for 10 years with the charity Miracle Babies. I'm also Ambassador for Two Good, The Australian Skin Cancer Foundation, Dress for Success, and Feel the Magic. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Charles Sturt University Bathurst, I am a Mother of 3, and in my spare time I try to stay active - with the dream one day of being able to surf.
