About Deborah Leone

One of my first memory was my first day at kindergarden, entering the room and never looked back. While my mother was quite distressed about it (and she doesn’t shy from making me feel guilty about it), I see it now as one key moment that shaped one of the defining traits of my personality. Throughout my life I have developed this art of being able to communicate and connect with anyone at any given time. After working in different roles and industries, where I utilised this skill in different ways, I’ve learned how much effective communication is at the core of any successfull leader, project, event and business. A career in Event Management for International, large scale Poker events, gave me the opportunity to use this skill at best. Given the nature of these events, an array of razor sharp skills are needed to be to ensure success. From prioritising, spearheading, requirements collation, resource mobilisation, site visits, team leadership and of course, engaging with key stakeholders and forging positive relationships at all levels to enable business objectives. I am used to work in a high pressure environment, with tight schedules and with short deadlines. I get things done. I love challenges. I am very proactive and have been praised for my positive attitude and to do approach to the job. I have no problems in organizing my daily routine and working independently. Working in an international environment and constantly travelling, raised my flexibility and improved my language skills. My Signature Accomplishments include: My biggest achievement so far as Event Manager has been PokerStars EPT Barcelona 2019, a record -breaking event that saw the number of total players going up to 18,527 unique. Relaunch of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour after a 5 year hiatus. This meant, building all relationship from scratch and get in touch again with the Irish and English community. Ideation and execution of the Red Spade Pass at EPT Monte-Carlo 2022 in collaboration with Red Bull Racing.
