About Deborah Luyster

Joining the Freeport Press family in 1987, I have had the opportunity to work, supervise and manage many of the Departments over a span of years. During this time, I’ve attended numerous seminars and classes on Production Management; Print Management, Production Scheduling; and Leadership Training hosted by GATF and PIA. Some of my Managerial roles have included: Production Scheduler, Customer Service Manager, Finishing Manager and most recently Prepress Manager. Managing the various departments has given me a greater understanding of not only our operation, but the printing production process overall. It has also given me a much better understanding of people and how important they are to our success. Our people and our technology are our “claim to fame”. I’ve seen many, many changes in not only our company, but the printing industry as a whole. I’m proud to say that the technological advancements we’ve made at FPI are second to none. Beginning with the front-end MIS system which is an EFI product, the Kodak Prinergy/InSite system we use in Prepress, state-of-the-art Komori 38S web presses, a Komori LSX-629 sheet fed press, to the Goss Pacesetter high speed stitchers, Freeport Press can truly meet anyone’s printing needs. Our top-notch Customer Service team goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I proudly boast that FPI has been in continuous operation since 1880. My career has been exclusive to this company. I grew up in Freeport, graduated from the local high school, got married and raised my children here. I take great pride in the fact that we (FPI) are the second largest employer in Harrison County.
