Her involvement in representative-level sports further shaped her competitive edge, commitment, and ability to recognise and harness the strengths of those around her. Facing challenges such as bullying throughout high school and being a victim of assault taught Deborah invaluable lessons of empathy, inner strength, and compassion—traits that now define her character. These early experiences provided her with a solid foundation for growth. Her passions are unmistakably centered around people, service, leadership, and personal development. A lifelong learner, Deborah immerses herself in motivational resources and thrives on opportunities for self-growth and to help others grow alongside her. Outside of her personal journey, she enjoys supporting her children in all their sporting and cultural activities. Deborah's career spans a remarkable array of industries, including retail, customer service, hospitality, sports club management, hotel and facilities management, banking, accountancy, event planning, coaching and teaching at the tertiary level, church administration, and building trades like electrical and audiovisual fields. She’s also experienced in health and safety. Above all, Deborah’s mission is to leave a positive mark wherever she goes.
