About Deborah Meyer

My Dell experience is in the areas of, manufacturing operations, global launch and sustaining of hardware, services and software products, services programs and people management I am currently a program manager leading and coordinating preparations for retail customer configurations that get stocked on the retailers shelves and sold online. My role requires comprehensive understanding of business strategy and processes to effectively advocate, negotiate, and compete for resources and prioritizations I have initiated and implemented process and standardized communications to ensure expectations are known and met. Key skills for success have been the ability to be a project advocate, clear communications of complex issues, and have depth and understanding of the cross functional business and customer needs. My projects in product operational transitions have been around the globe utilizing in person assignments and virtual management to drive for success. Leading, coordinating and integrating multicultural teams with the tactical processes in a changing strategic business environment has been a constant throughout my Dell tenure. A particular forte has been the ability to understand present process and systems as a base to identify where key changes can efficiently and effectively keep pace with the rapid changes in the business direction. The ability to quickly identify business needs has been instrumental to my success at prompt planning for formulation and implementation of efficient and cost effective solutions. Prior to Dell, I was a manager at Rockwell Collins with extensive detailed power hardware engineering design and Design to Cost experience. Responsibilities included the management of the Design to Cost team with Target Costing impacts on Commercial and Government multiyear projects averaging $5M per year annual savings. Technical experiences included project engineer on multiple power avionics systems.
