About Deborah Smith

I help entrepreneurs build sustainable business operations and transformational events. I coach individuals and groups on how to radically shift their approach to nutrition and eat a healthier diet, so they can save time and money while increasing energy and improving overall health. I am an experienced professional with a background in marketing, management and event production as well as a trained and experienced holistic health coach, invested in global transformation through holistic practices. I started my career in NY working part-time as a writer, event coordinator and production assistant for not-for-profits as well as TV and film shoots. I moved into a full time role with the National Dance Institute, producing quality arts education programs in the NYC public schools, including large-scale dance performances at prestigious venues. After 7 years with NDI, I spent 2 years producing fine craft festivals with the American Craft Council, as their Communications Director, tasked with multiple roles, including coordinating press events, driving up attendance at shows, and bringing the organization online with email marketing. In 2005 I earned a degree in Holistic Health Coaching at IIN and pivoted my career towards health and wellness events. I opened my first business, Green Pirate Juice, which began as a mobile food vending truck that served healthy juices, smoothies and other vegan treats. In the 14 years that I operated the company, I coordinated the logistics for hundreds of city-wide events, including every detail of an event cycle related to food service and entertainment. I also personally coached dozens of group health activities, including cleanses, online workshops and clean eating challenges. In Summer 2019, I produced my first online course called Green Smoothies 101, to share my knowledge about the powerful benefits of eating a plant-based diet. In 2022, I launched a 5-week plant-based cooking course called Plant Powered Kitchen. I'm passionate about creating and producing transformative experiences that uplift people's spirit and build community through live events, music, dance, wellness initiatives and socially conscious collaborations. I coach small businesses in the wellness sector to successfully operate online, using effective communication skills and innovative technology. I'm proud to say all of my clients are thriving! I take great pride in my work and care deeply about providing clients and customers with valuable experiences and products, which both improve their quality of life and also contribute to society.
