With over 20 years in the financial industry, mostly with credit unions, I have steered comprehensive strategies across internal audit, fraud mitigation, disputes resolution, and BSA/AML compliance. I effectively managed the credit union’s risk landscape through meticulous risk assessments, policy enhancements, and proactive trend monitoring. As Custodian of Records, I oversaw all legal documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. My leadership was pivotal in establishing the fraud and disputes management framework, significantly reducing instances of card, ACH, and check fraud. I spearheaded the implementation of robust fraud monitoring and BSA/AML programs, enhancing our defense against financial crime and streamlining case management processes. Furthermore, I played a pivotal role in facilitating the SBA Payment Protection Plan loans, supporting small business resilience during challenging times. I am recognized for fostering a culture of continuous learning through comprehensive staff training initiatives across all operational facets.
