About Debra Long

I am a very dedicated, self starting, result driven, people oriented, problem solver with strong work ethics. I am also a tenacious overachiever with strong computer skills, who pays close attention to details. My work is my signature. I have strong skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Lightroom and Photoshop and gaining experience in Adobe InDesign. I learn quickly. I presently work in the retail world and my favorite part of the job is the customer service (which I'm really good at), but so much of the retail world is pulling away from it. I love talking to people and helping fill their needs whether in merchandise or services. I have done this for 18 years. I am looking for a career change that allows me to work from home. Times have changed and so much more work is available from home, especially through all the changes that have taken place this year (2020). I have strong skills taking Nature and Landscape Photography and am growing in other genres. I have been taking some on my own but would love to have the guidance of an seasoned photographer also. I have worked on detailed projects such as a slideshow titled "Life on the Houston Ship Channel a Burnett Bay" I had to take all the photos for the slideshow, using the proper aperture, shutter, and ISO settings, do all the post production work and organize time images in the most effective order to tell the story I wanted to present. I have created 2 memorial videos, a 50th anniversary movie for customers. I scanned pictures of their life, retouched the images and created videos with music so that it could be played in a DVD player. The families said that the videos made the occasions so special and I sold 15 copies of each.
