About Debra Muniz

I believe each child is a gem in the making. We, as educators, admins & coaches, facilitate their shape, brilliance, and vitality-their future design in our hands. As a research practitioner at heart, I take these fundamental beliefs into schools as a transformational change agent-a coach, and strategist-problem solver, listener and staff-student advocate. I tackle universal problems with an "out of the box" approach, reaching consensus with staff to solve complex issues with innovative tools, modern 2030 forward thinking techniques-a 21st century approach. I lead through empathy, humility and positive expectancy. Unafraid to ask critical questions steering public schools to be globally competitive and aware, 21st century "movers and shakers" rather than stuck in 1950's models so our future pioneers thrive. To achieve this, I employ innovative best practices of our time, believing in collaborative coversations, a team approach, devoting my time to cultivating relationships with staff, students, families, & stakeholders- building bridges. Asking,"Where are we going? The Whys? and How will we get there?" I harness unique gifts of cadre leader teams, and together, we hone in our craft and rise to our shared vision for student success. In my spare time, I aspire to fuse my passion for writing in education & women's ministry blogs, looking to publish my first book. My hobbies include reading books on contemplative prayer & mindfulness, educational leadership & coaching.all the way to pub med articles on child development neuroscience. I believe learning is recursive. I sing and am a Latin lover of people's souls. In my coaching practice, as well as current educational position, I infuse my vibrant & compassionate personality to foster relationships with all people. Relationships are the backbone to thriving systems and critical change.
