About Debra Paster

I am an experienced registered nurse especially in ambulatory surgery, dermatology and plastic surgery. I am a strong advocate for a healthy lifestyle, including diet, exercise and reduction of stress as it impacts the disease process. Many health issues and increasing health care costs are a direct result of poor nutrition, obesity, smoking, lack of exercise etc. I am very approachable and I am a people person. I enjoy educating my patients to promote health and well being. I am reliable, resourceful and responsible. I love to research and solve issues as they pertain to the individual patient. For example, my father in law who is 93 years old ( and fought in World War II) has very limited economic means for medical care. On a tip from another family member, I researched VA benefits, downloaded information and appropriate applications. And with help from an agency in Florida, my in laws received after 6 weeks, monetary benefits from the VA. They are also on a list for the Medicaid diversion program in Florida in the event they need to be in assisted living or in a skilled nursing home.
