About Debra Peitz

I started at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic in 1991. I posted payments and denials. I also worked in the OB/GYN Department talking to patient's about their insurance, taking personal payments and payment plans. Ten years ago I excepted a job at First Health of the Carolinas in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Department. My job was to work the accounts, speak with insurance companies about their denials/payments, cover the front desk, speak with patients regarding personal payments and insurance. I grew professionally with this Department as well as with the patient's. We also took on the Pinehurst Vascular professional billing and FH Neurosurgery. A couple of years ago I was moved to the Patient Account Department where I'm doing the same thing, except I have no patient contact. First Health moved from Athena programming to Epic programming on 07/01/2017. I have since become one of the Team Lead in our Department. As of April 2019- present - PB Supervisor where I train Professional Billing for new employees as well as Epic workflow, I manage claim edits, denial and no response wqs and have 8 direct reports. I am open to new opportunities.
