About Debra Planer

I presently work with individuals whom are physically and or intellectually disabled. I have worked in this field for 12 years. In my position I am able to work with these individuals and help them to grow and learn new skills as well as keep older skills sharp. We help them with daily living skills as well as community jobs. Before moving into this line of work I worked in early childhood education for 20 years. I worked with several different age groups from birth to 5 years old. I have also worked with youth ranging from grades K-12 in several areas. While working in early childhood I also had the role of head teacher. My duties included opening our center and setting up for the day. Assisting parents until our Directors could get in. I was also over training of new hires. Going over all policies and procedures. I have lead several training groups and do well with public speaking.
