About Debra Taylor

Debra has worked with students for the past 30 years in the public and private sector. She has pursued creative uses of her education degree and earned recognized achievements in education, program development, event planning, marketing, and curriculum development. In 2013, Debra decided to shift her focus to college counseling. Debra completed the Independent Educational Consultant Certificate Program at the University of California, Irvine. Debra is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling (OACAC). Debra has presented at the Annual OACAC Conference and the Super Conference for Kentucky & Ohio Associations for College Admission Counseling. She has served as a committee member for the OACAC Annual Conference and OACAC Articulation. Debra has also volunteered at an OACAC sponsored College Fair and NACAC Conference in Columbus, Ohio. Debra served on the counselor advisory board at Florida Southern College for two years. She has visited well over 100 US college campuses (public and private). The goal is to visit 20-30 per year. She has also participated in numerous panel discussions related to college planning and admissions. The knowledge and perspective gained by these opportunities are invaluable.
