Hello there! I'm a passionate mixed methods design researcher currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, specializing in Human Factors and Ergonomics at The Pennsylvania State University. My anticipated graduation date is July 2024, and I'm actively seeking roles in User (UX) Research and Design Research. With a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from PES University in Bengaluru, India, I bring a diverse educational background to my research endeavors. In my career, I've had the privilege of working with esteemed companies such as Stryker and Loreal. During my tenure, I focused on product usability, packaging validation testing, auditing protocol documentation, and fostering collaborations with suppliers and vendors. These experiences have equipped me with a broad range of skills and insights into the design industry. My current research delves into design theory and methodology, specifically exploring how technologies influence collaboration among expert designers in virtual environments. The intricacies of product and packaging design have always captivated me, and I'm fascinated by the interactions between designers, users, and stakeholders in the creative process. In my pursuit of a career, I aim to work directly with users, bridging the gap between their needs and the design teams' vision. I aspire to create products that offer exceptional user experiences and enrich people's lives. To achieve my research objectives, I employ a variety of methods, specially mixed-methods research. My expertise spans qualitative and quantitative approaches, including designing human-subjects studies, conducting usability studies, gathering data through observation, surveys, and semi-structured interviews, and applying qualitative and statistical data analysis.
