About December Brickey

I am a second year genetic counseling student at the University of Washington Genetic Counseling Graduate Program. I graduated magna cum laude from Washington State University in 2023 with a BS in Biology and minored in pre-genetic counseling. During my time at WSU, I worked as a teaching assistant in the chemistry department. I was the president of both the molecular biosciences and psychology clubs. I was also a research assistant at the Winuthayanon lab. During the summers, I volunteered as a camp counselor at Camp Promise and a teaching assistant at the Early Leaning Center. Before entering graduate school, I managed a local coffee shop while volunteering as a crisis counselor though the Crisis Text Line, as well as a camp counselor though the Jett Foundation at Camp Promise.
