About Declan Knapp

From a young age, music and sound have been my passion. I still remember getting my first set of turntables on my 10th birthday, SoundLab DLP32’s. As I tried to teach myself how to “scratch”, I remember feeling totally connected with the sounds. I also took up playing the drums at around the same time which carried on into my secondary school years. It was in secondary school when I was introduced to computer music-making, which opened up a whole new world of creativity for me. My passion carried me through my university education, which gave me access to amazing resources. I studied recording techniques, sound design, mixing, mastering, coding and even photography. Since plotting the drum hits out on my first Cubase arrangement, to controlling modular synths with Max for Live’s CV Tools, I’ve been learning constantly up to this day. Just as music and sound is a huge part of my life, gaming has been integral to my influences. I aspire to contribute to the immersiveness of the gaming experience and to bring my creativeness to a team of like-minded people.
