I am a financial services professional with 13+ years of experience in industry, from QBE's captive re-insurer to Google, Pure Storage and now back at Google. Prior to this I trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Deloitte's Financial Services Audit department where I worked primarily on insurance, stockbroking and public sector audits. I have deep experience in US GAAP financial close and reporting activity, outsource provider management and have worked on a variety of cross functional finance projects. These projects included redesigning how US GAAP team supported statutory audits, instigating company wide PO hygiene enforcement, driving increased visibility and metrics on Balance Sheet open items to identify risk and enforce ownership thereof. Having transitioned from the accounting side to finance operations, I spent two years running our internal payments subledger operations and bank reconciliations teams. I now run our in house payroll on SAP, migrating some of our largest EMEA and APAC countries off the PSP model.
