About Declan Tracy

My chosen field is that of the care of patients living with End Stage Renal Disease. I have been working in the industry for 5+ years. I began my work at the entry-level position of Patient Care Technician, classified as a PCT I. Since joining the Fresenius Kidney Care family, I have continued to develop my skills, those that pertain to the medical care and monitoring of my patients as well as my interpersonal skills. Caring for dialysis patients takes a special kind of person. Not only do hold their lives in our hands medically, we also interact with them more often than many of their friends and family do. I strive to make the very trying experience of undergoing dialysis as comfortable and enjoyable as I possibly can. “Patient Care first,” has always been my motto. In 2017, I was promoted to PCT level Preceptor. This title carries with it the responsibility of training all incoming Patient Care Technicians. I truly love knowing that I have a hand in helping more people learn how to best care for the group of patients I take care of.
