About Declan Walsh

Declan is a Partner in RSM Ireland leading the firm's multi-disciplinary Forensic and Investigation Services department specialising in the forensic accounting, investigation of fraud, protected disclosures, and workplace dispute resolution assignments. Declan has significant experience in conducting fraud investigations and advising clients in litigation situations on matters of quantum and professional negligence. Typical cases include claims loss of profits/consequential loss claims, claims for breach of contract, claims against accountants and other professionals, shareholder disputes, business valuations (including matrimonial) and transaction disputes. Declan regularly acts as an expert witness and has given oral evidence in the High Court and as part of alternative dispute resolution fora. In addition to his work in the area of forensic accounting, Declan oversees the firm’s market leading workplace disputes resolution and Protected Disclosures service offerings. Declan is member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Corporate, White Collar and Regulatory Crime from Kings Inns and a Diploma in Insolvency from Chartered Accountants Ireland. RSM Ireland's Investigation and Forensic Services unit comprises a multi-disciplinary team with wide ranging expertise in areas such as workplace investigation and protected disclosures, forensic accounting, litigation support, IT forensics and tax fraud. Our clients span the public, semi-state and private sectors across the entire spectrum of industry. We have established a distinctive approach to assignments in this area with the aim of developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
