About Dede Lestari

From Small Steps to Global Standards I began my career by supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia to comply with key regulations—such as obtaining their Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB), registering trademarks, and securing halal product certification. Seeing these businesses grow and gain market trust through proper compliance has been deeply rewarding. After three years of assisting SMEs, I became curious: how do regulatory frameworks apply to medium and large enterprises? That curiosity led me to a new opportunity—joining a Product Certification Body to support the implementation of Indonesia’s National Standards (SNI) across various sectors. My scope has expanded to include food products (refined sugar, palm oil, wheat flour, mineral water, instant noodles), toys, and baby clothing. I’ve also had the privilege of assisting with imported goods from diverse regions including Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, China, Western Europe (Italy & Greece), Japan, and Egypt—managing remote sampling, documentation, and compliance monitoring. I’m now seeking a Master’s degree scholarship in Regulation and Compliance (MSc) to deepen my expertise and contribute more meaningfully to regulatory ecosystems.
