About Dedo Suwanda

I am an experienced executive in the area of polymer/plastics (rigid and foam) and composites (wood plastic composites and mineral filler based composites)- in particular building products. I have strong knowledge in various manufacturing processes, but my major strength is in compounding and profile extrusion. I have also exposure to biopolymers & biocomposites, biodegradable plastics, fiberglass and carbon fiber composites. Over the past 20 years, I have been executives (including as CEO role) for start-up companies, entrepreneurial companies and large public companies. I understand the concept of corporate entrepreneurship very well - a balanced concept of entrepreneurship (innovation, agility and multi-tasking) and corporate management. I have a very good understanding of building product industry, especially outdoor products (decking, railing, fencing and siding) and fenestration products (windows, doors and patio doors). At the same time, I have developed a good concept of New Product Development (NPD), including Product Improvement, from idea or concept to the consumers. Techniques, such as Stage Gate Process and Blue Ocean Strategy, are often implement in the process. I view NPD as a critical hub connecting R&D, Design & Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Legal. As the result, I have become expert, or at least familiar, with all of the above aspects critical to NPD. I have recently started a consulting firmed called Creative Conclusions Inc. Creative Conclusions Inc, as the name implies, emphasizes CREATIVITY – the ability to take on complex problems and provide simple and logical steps to solve the problems. CREATIVITY also implies the ability to “connect the dots”, thus to make sense of random or chaotic circumstances. CCI's core competencies include: i) New Product Development, ii) New Territory Development, Marketing Strategy, iv) Sales Strategy and v) Business Plan Development.
