My career (both in South Africa and more recently in the UK) has been marked by a steadfast commitment to providing financial insight that supports business strategic growth, leveraging a solid foundation in financial operations and managerial finance. With a strong governance and compliance skillset honed over a decade as a company secretary, my roles continue to encompass crucial responsibilities, from managing finance operations and statutory reporting to ensuring legal compliance and overseeing risk management. I am an empathetic leader with a can-do attitude that motivates others to go above and beyond. I am a believer in simplicity and employing tools where possible to streamline process and allow time spent to be “value add”. My entry into the UK job market - first through one of its trading subsidiaries and then to head up the group central finance function of Fresca Group has seen me enter the private equity space in the fast paced fresh produce industry. An interesting contrast to my time spent at TFG - and an equally fast pace of fashion! Under my leadership TFG’s central finance division flourished, supporting TFG's expansive portfolio of brands and its impressive £2 billion turnover. I was instrumental in the successful implementation of numerous finance systems and actively engaged in strategic projects that have shaped the organization's trajectory, including significant business disposals and acquisitions.
